Growing the Natural Health Community

Everyone has told me that it all starts with a dream...a hope, a desire, or a passion, and it’s true! Within all of us, there is something that fuels a spark for change, growth, or challenge. This spark is kind of…itchy, an itch that won’t go away until it is thoroughly scratched to its fullest potential and explored in every possible direction. The funny thing is, once the itch is scratched, the spark turns into a flame and desires more fuel to feed this fire.

The ”spark” inside of us all will present itself in different forms and at varying stages of life, it will hit us when we least expect it but are unknowingly most receiving of change. Opportunities are all around us, but we must first be willing to listen for them – only when our minds are open and desires are clear, can we then accept our duties for this plane of life.

I have come to realize that my spark is to change the Herbal Community. To change how the local businesses and service providers interact with one another, as well as how we all view our bodies and lifestyle choices. I have been shown time and time again that 1) life is meant to be experienced, not survived, and 2) I (we, as individuals) cannot do it alone. The human species is one of community and we all depend on one another for resources, skills, trades, or even a different perspective on the situation.

Throughout my life, I’ve grown up needing to become self-sufficient and independent. Although this has helped me, it has also had its drawbacks of being to independent, too stuck in my ways, and too unwilling to change. But as soon as I took a step back and looked at my life from a different perspective (someone else’s perspective), my life changed and went in directions I didn’t know I needed to explore. Yes, my ideas ARE amazing and I take pride in that, but I am also frequently reminded to have humility and realize that my ideas, paths, or journeys aren’t the only direction for a solution.

With the support of my family, friends, wife, (future) children, employees, and other day-to-day interactions, I can find a world of opportunity. Getting stuck in the grind of routine, it is often so difficult to see what I am blind to, but when I can step out of my life for but just a moment, I can see where I need to go. With the support from one another, we can all lift up and grow our Natural Health Community…but only when we take the time to understand one another.

Prairie Star Botanicals is taking a leap of faith into the unknown and wants to help support your small business! We don’t know exactly where this will land us or you, but it can only be somewhere good, because we need one another in our community. If you are interested in having your business listed on our website, please reach out to us via our “Add Your Business” page in our “Natural Health Community” page of our website.

We are so excited for the journey that lies ahead of us, won’t you be excited with us??
